Located in a house of the hamlet Moinhos de Ribeira with a magnificent view of the Castelo de Bode damn, in the moutain at the center of Portugal. A perfect place to benefit of the nature, go hiking or biking, with also multiple aquatic activities and fishing.

Accomodation on the ground floor of a house, entierly independant, with a view on the dam lack and montains from the private terrace.
From 2 people (1 bedroom) to 4 people (2 bedrooms).
Possibility to add small bed in the bedrooms.
Each bedroom has a bathroom with WC and an independant entrance.
A shared dining room with an entirely amenaged kitchen.

We take care of it.
You will be able to taste olive oil from our olive trees, but also our wine (with moderation of course), without forgetting our delicious home-made jam.
The evenings end sometimes with music and songs, musicians are welcome!
Private terrace with view on the dam lack and mountains. In the garden, find deckchairs in the shadow of the olive trees and orange trees.

→ Arrival and departure are not locked to the week-end, you can comme any day of the week (according to disponibilities)
→ The length of stay can be of your choice, only obligation of minimum 2 nights.

What can we do at the village and his surroundings?
Biking and hiking
→Marked trails from La Casita, including the GR33 or GRZ (Grande Rota do Zêzere).
→ Many circuits around. Walks for a few hours or the day.
You will have at your disposal all the documentation and circuit maps.
Swimming
→ At the foot of the village, no equipped beach, but you can swim in the clear, fresh water of the river.
→ In the surroundings, beaches and river pools have been built on the rivers.
You can also swim in the wilder places among the pines and eucalyptus on the banks of the Zêzere.
Aquatic sports
→ If you have a paddle, a canoe or a small boat you can use it in the village.
→ Natuical clubs on the rio Zêzere offer many activities: initiation to wake boarding, water skiing, paddle rental, canoeing, pedal boats, boat trips, towed bananas.
You will also find a bar and restaurant on site.
Fishing
→ All possible fishing, cane, blow, fly fishing… Many species and beautiful specimens take advantage of the unpolluted waters of the dam lake: Zander, pike, blakbass, carp…
→ Slipway for your boat in the area.

You can also just rest under the olive and orange trees of the property.

Hikes to do on foot or with mountain bike in the heart of a rich and preserved nature.

The village of Dornes (one of the 7 wonders of Portugal), the geographical center of Portugal, the town of Cernache de Bonjardim, the structures of the dams (Cabril, Bouçã, Castelo de Bode), the shale villages and many typical towns. Small museums on life in the region: the resin and fire museum, the geodesy museum…

Learn about grape harvesting, citrus picking and olive harvesting with us! Enriching experiences. Possibility of woofing: free stay in exchange for your participation in the olive harvest in November (contact us for the modalities)
